Sowing Righteousness

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
— Galatians 6:9

Do you feel like you've been doing the right thing but haven't reaped benefits from it yet?

Many people make the mistake of quitting before they see a breakthrough. Maybe you've recently made some lifestyle changes, but you feel like you're still dealing with a lot of junk. Don't give up! If you are sowing the right things, you will reap the right things. "What you sow, you will reap" is more than just a Chinese proverb or a good saying; it's a Biblical principle!

"Do not be deceived; God can not be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh reaps destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." Galatians 6:7-8

If you are not getting the results you want, don't make the mistake of quitting! Keep sowing into the harvest you want to reap--not what you are presently reaping!

If you haven't been serving the Lord, you may have a season where you need to invest into good soil in order to turn your harvest around. Don't be discouraged if you aren't seeing everything change at once, continue to sow righteousness!

"A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward." Proverbs 11:18

If you were living for yourself and selfish pleasure, chances are you may reap fruit from that season for a little while even though you begin to sow good seed. Don't get discouraged in sowing righteousness and doing good. Know that God is faithful, and you will begin to see good fruit!

There is a due season. A season where what you've invested is ready for harvest. When you haven't been sowing, you can't expect a harvest. However, when you have been sowing and planting good seed, you have a harvest due to you. You can expect a good reward. So ask yourself, "Have I been sowing, or am I just waiting?"

Waiting is just hanging around hoping something will happen or change. Sowing yields expectation. You have made the proper investment; now, you are expecting something to produce. You have a substantial reason to expect a harvest to come!

"So let's not get tired of doing good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up." Galatians 6:9

Discern the season you're in! Some things that you've planted in faith will produce fruit in just the right time! Speak faith over that seed, and give life and growth to what you've planted! Just because you can't see it yet doesn't mean it's not growing beneath the surface!

If you don't give up, you will reap a harvest! Discerning the season will keep you from becoming weary. Realizing that every act you make in faith is nurturing your seed should strengthen your faith until the harvest comes forth!

The fruit your life brings forth brings glory to God. Continue to sow even when you may feel like giving up! In the right time, you will reap a harvest!
