Double It

I always loved going to our kids' elementary school talent shows! It doesn't matter if these kids have mastered their skills; they are willing to get up and give their talents all they've got!

God has given each of us talents. One definition of a talent, as used in this scripture, is a form of currency. Another definition of talent is a natural skill--a God-given aptitude!

It doesn't matter your talent; God wants to use what's in your hand! We are each given a measure of gifting to use for God. For some, it's a musical gift, writing, or serving. For some of us, God uses our ability to make money and sow it into the Kingdom. No matter your talent, you are responsible for developing and multiplying that gift for God's glory!

How do you multiply a gift or a talent?

First, you recognize it! The master gave to each of the servants according to "his ability" (Matthew 25:15). Discover what the ability is that is your tool to use for God.

Second, master it! Once you discover what your God-given talent is, work it for the Kingdom. Study, practice, and work harder than anyone else--whatever it takes to become the very best at your gift!

Lastly, multiply it! Take the talent you have mastered and teach someone also gifted in that area! Teach them all that you have learned and pour it into them! Sow your experience into the next generation!

God wants us to be productive! We are not on earth just to occupy space; we have been given a talent each to our own ability.

Our calling is to recognize, master, and multiply that gifting for God's glory! We are responsible for how we steward our giftings!

Let it be said of you, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!"
